להזכירכם פרויקט הסנ"ס – "אסטרטגיות הנדסיות להפיכת קצב ההזדקנות לזניח" בהנהגת דר' אוברי דה גריי מקמבריג'– הנו אחד הפרויקטים המובילים למחקר תהליכי הזדקנות לשם מציאת אמצעים רדיקלים להארכת חיים. לעומת מוסדות אקדמיים רגילים, הפרויקט משלב "אנשים מהשורה" – סטודנטים ומתנדבים במחקר, פעולות הסברה והתרמה.
עשרות אלפי חובבי טכנולוגיה מרחבי העולם ועוד קומץ מישראל המזדהים כטרנס-הומניסטים טוענים כי אנו בעיצומה של מהפכה טכנולוגית שתשנה את האנושות באופן יסודי, קיצוני ובלתי ניתן לשיעור. על הפרק: שידוד אנושי, בינה מלאכותית וחיי נצח
לפני כמה שבועות, ב-9 לאפריל, פורסם המאמר " ההאצה הטכנולוגית תוביל לשינוי אבולוציוני של האדם" בעיתון הארץ, שהיה המאמר הראשון בנושא הטרנסהומניזם במדיה הישראלית המיינסטרימית. בזמן הכנת המאמר, נשאלתי על ידי המחבר, אסף שטול-טראורינג, כמה שאולות על טרנסהומניזם. רק חלק מצומצם נכלל בכתבה בשל חוסר מקום. אז החלטתי לפרסם את זה להלן, כי אלה נושאים מעניינים.
לפני כמה ימים, ב-11 למאי, התפרסם מאמר בעיתון "אנושות פלוס" שעסק בהישגי הייטק ישראליים ותרומת ישראל להתקדמות מדעית וטכנולוגית עולמית בכלל וטרנסהומניזם בפרט. כמה וכמה חברים מהקבוצה שלנו הוזכרו במאמר והשתתפו בהכנת חומרים – דני, פרידה, איליה, עדי. ותודה מיוחדת לשני על העזרה
בזמן הכנת המאמר אספתי כמה מקורות המעידים על השיגי ישראל בהייטק ופיתוחים עתידניים. זמן הפרסום היה דוחק, לכן אני מתנצל על אי-כלילת מקורות ופרטים חשובים שנבעה מחוסר זמן ו/או בורות. הנכם מוזמנים להוסיף מידע בתגובות!
I am happy to report about the 9th seminar on transhumanism and life-extension that took place in Bar-Ilan University yesterday, May 14. This was a special event for our group, as the seminars have been renewed after a prolonged break, with a record number of about 30 attendees.

Tal Galili presented a round of Transhumanist Frequently Asked Questions, both questions of feasibility and social implications, which raised a passionate debate.
Kochi Cohen reported on the Fourth Conference of the Strategies for Engineering Negligible Senescence (SENS), Cambridge, England, 2009, which she attended:
Ilia Stambler presented on the “Ideological motivations for life-extension,” asking the question: “Which form of society is most conducive to longevity research?” based on an historical investigation (but without an answer). The presentation was a summary of the article “Life-extension – a conservative enterprise?” published in Journal of Evolution and Technology:

The seminars have been renewed following increasing interest in the subject after the publication of the article “Technological acceleration will lead to an evolutionary change of man” with the participation of members of our group, in Haaretz, one of Israel’s leading newspapers, which was the first publication on the subject in mainstream Israeli media:

A couple of days ago, on May 11, an article was published in Humanity Plus Magazine, entitled “Israel’s value to Transhumanism,” featuring members of our group: Danny Belkin, Frida Fuchs, Ilia Stambler and Adi Berman.
